What happens if I lose my master password? expand_more

Because we use zero-knowledge encryption, we do not have a copy of your master password. If you lose it, we cannot recover your data. We highly recommend setting up a recovery kit or biometric backup during onboarding.

Can MindVault employees see my files? expand_more

No. All files are encrypted on your device before they ever reach our servers. We store blobs of encrypted data that look like nonsense to us. Only your device has the keys to turn that nonsense back into files.

Where is my data stored? expand_more

We use distributed cloud storage providers that are SOC2 Type II compliant. Even if their physical servers were compromised, the data obtained would be encrypted and unreadable.
